Repair or Replace? A Five Point Checklist:

Blower breakdown doesn’t always mean replacement. Many times, your Rader-supplied positive displacement blower can be restored to like-new condition, fully warranted, at a fraction of replacement cost. Next time you have blower problems, they might be smaller than you think. Check the list:

  • Bearings which have become worn can lead to serious problems as well as potential operating hazards. If detected early, replacement can greatly extend the service of the blower.
  • Seals maintain the critical lubrication system of the blower. When broken, they must be replaced to prevent serious gear and bearing damage.
  • Impellers that have become encrusted with residues wear against the blower casing Cleaning, machining and balancing will restore their critical tolerances and improve performance.
  • Gears when worn or broken, can be replaced to prevent further damage to the blower.
  • Shafts should be replaced or repaired if bent or otherwise put out of alignment.

Regular maintenance & cleaning

Eighty percent of blower failures result from pitch buildup on the impellers and are avoidable with regular maintenance and cleaning with Rader Blower cleaner. Periodic checks by Rader’s trained servicemen are available on request.
